An AMAZING effect, especially for the cost,
I purchased this to use with a bleaching tray my Dad made for me (he’s a dentist). He gave me a tube of a similar product (16% carbamide peroxide), but by the time I got around to using it, it had expired. You can imagine my surprise when I found out that this stuff was available without a prescription, and was fairly inexpensive. The bottom line: IT WORKS. It works REALLY well, and it starts working with the first application. I’ve used it 3-4 times and my teeth are SEVERAL shades whiter. At this rate, they should look eggshell-white after another week. Unlike weaker concentrations (the 16% my Dad gave me advised applying this for an hour, twice a day), the 35% only has to be used once a day for up to 45 minutes (I’m applying it every-other-day). It seems to have a lasting effect, as long as you are otherwise good at keeping your teeth clean (this means brushing and flossing). A few points:
- Brush your teeth and floss before putting in your tray. The tooth won’t get the full effect of the peroxide if it’s blocked by tartar.
- Apply it to the portion of the tray where it will contact the front of your teeth (no need to bleach the backs, because your dentist is the only one who sees that part)
- Don’t overfill the tray, or it will spill out into your mouth (it doesn’t taste nasty, but it doesn’t exactly taste good either). A little goes a long way: after 4 applications, I’m less than halfway through my first syringe.
- Avoid letting it come into contact with your gums because it can irritate them. My dad warned me to be careful with higher concentrations (like 35%) because of gum irritation. So far, this hasn’t been a problem, but if you’re overfilling the tray, it easily could be.
Overall, I’m impressed with the effect and the value. If you go to your pharmacy, you’ll find competing over-the-counter treatments galore, and tooth-whitening toothpastes that don’t do a damn thing. You can pay beaucoups of money to get laser treatments or UV treatments (which seem short-lived to me). For $10-15 and a bleaching tray, you can bleach your teeth in no time. I now understand why this is the only tooth-whitening treatment that my dad recommends.
NOTE: I realize that not everyone’s fortunate enough to have a father who will make them bleaching trays. You CAN find inexpensive do-it-yourself trays like this at pharmacies or online. They won’t be as good, but they’ll get the job done. The package insert also indicated you can use Crest whitening strips with this– you just have to wash off the crap Crest puts on the strips and replace it with this stuff.

|Wow, it works!,
I bought this pack with pretty high expectations based on the reviews. I’m glad I did, because it works. My teeth were a little yellow but not distractingly so. Still, I wanted to brighten my smile a shade or two. I saw a very slight difference after consuming the first tube and reached my ideal whiteness after just the second. I don’t want a paper-white smile which would look fake to me, but I figure another 2 tubes would have been sufficient if I chose to do so, based on the progression.
Some tips:
1. This won’t work as efficiently if your teeth are gray-ish, as opposed to yellow-ish.
2. You can apply this by placing the gel inside the tray, but I found that wiping them directly on the teeth and THEN slipping the tray on was more efficient.
3. If you apply directly to your teeth first before applying the tray, swipe your teeth with tissue to dry them a bit so that the gel adheres better. When your teeth are coated with saliva, the gel doesn’t adhere as well.
4. After pushing down on the syringe, pull it back a little bit. The gel continues to ooze out if you don’t, and a lot gets wasted over time.
5. A dentist friend of mine suggested (but it’s not completely necessary) using just plain white toothpaste while using this product. It just hastens the bleaching process a wee bit.
Over all, this works really well. Especially for the price!

|Works great!!!!,
This product works just as advertised. Noticed a difference within a week and continue to use this product. The only draw back is if it can be a bit sensitive on the teeth and gums at times. Otherwise would recommend this to anyone.
