Perfect for the Kindle Fire,
Looking around Amazon, it was hard to find this kind of product — I couldn’t find it under “skins” or “cases” — but it was worth finding. It’s a hard rubbery case that fits the entire back and all four sides of my KF perfectly, and has a single hole at the bottom for the charger, headphone jack, and power switch, and two at the top for the speakers. The four corners & most of the back are smooth and shiny, and the four sides are grippy-textured. I ordered mine in black, and it blends perfectly with the KF case so you can’t tell where one begins and the other ends.
The enclosed microfiber cloth cleaned my fingerprints off the KF easily; it was an added bonus & is appreciated.

|For $9 it’s actually not bad,
I must admit, when I first opened the package for this, I was pretty disappointed. The case is pretty thin, and it’s the fairly hard, shiny, cheap looking plastic. It didn’t look like it was going to fit well either. Once I got home and put this on my Kindle Fire, I was pleasantly surprised. It fit VERY well, and the “grips” they put on the underside are also in a nice spot. It actually improves the feel of the Fire in-hand.
I gave it three stars for two reasons:
1.) There is an odd staining you can see on the “polished” portions of the plastic, in certain lighting. It’s probably from the mold release process. It may clean off, I haven’t tried it yet. Not a big deal, but still an imperfection.
2.) The entire edge of the case has a somewhat sharp casting/molding line running around it. I’m going to try and lightly sand this off, since it doesn’t feel great if your hand catches it just right. It’s actually a little sharp.
Overall though, I’m glad I bought the case. It will tide me over until the silicone cases start arriving.

|Just the right fit,
Quite a good deal for the price. If you don’t want a thick leather case that costs $40 look to this. I appreciate the tight fit and hard edge as it feels like it snaps on and will not work loose or fall off. The textured areas on all four sides help in holding it with a single hand. The discoloration mentioned in a previous review is easily removable with a little wiping. The grey cloth is a bonus and works well at cleaning the glossy screen. I added a matte screen protector as well to help with glare.
